I found your deodorant at a local grocery store and I felt I had to tell you how amazed I am by your Crystal Stick product and its competitive pricing. My first impression of a low price must be revised to include what seems to be your products...
Living Paraben Free
In a recent study the University of Reading in the UK found that most of our beauty products are likely responsible for increasing our risk of getting breast cancer. British scientists analyzed tissue samples from more than 100 women and found parabens throughout the tissue - even in women who said they had never used deodorant. Which isn’t really good news for anyone using beauty products.
If you’re unfamiliar with parabens, they are preservatives commonly used in deodorant and beauty products that mimic the behavior of estrogen in the body. An excess of estrogen activity is known to increase the risk of certain types of cancer, especially in women.
Even scarier, parabens are easily absorbed. Out of the 160 samples taken, 99% contained at least one parabens and 96% contained five of them. Researchers suggest this means the compounds enter the breast from other sources, like other beauty products!
The researcher’s suggestion - Cut back on the use of cosmetic products in general! But since ditching our beauty routine is not likely to happen, let’s make a pledge to buy products that are better for our bodies and free of harmful chemicals.
All of our Naturally Fresh Deodorant Crystal products are free of parabens. Dr. Melanie Bone, a gynecologic surgeon and breast cancer survivor, suggests using our Roll On and Spray Mist every day, but especially on the day of a mammogram. Aluminum-containing antiperspirants can leave tiny particles on the skin that might possibly interfere with a mammogram reading. Avoiding these aluminum-containing products will help ensure the most accurate results, and a healthier lifestyle.
